Founded in 1989, Air Dolomiti is today the largest Italian inter-regional airline and is an airline of European importance capable of competing with major international rivals.
Since April 2003 Air Dolomiti has been controlled by Lufthansa and forms part of Lufthansa Regional, a large group of airlines operating regional flights and linked to Lufthansa, created to further improve the German carrier’s large network.
With the opening of the new Terminal 2 in munich Airport, Air Dolomiti has strengthened its role as the Italian carrier of preference for Lufthansa and Star Alliance.

Due to its strategic position in the centre of Europe and the strength of the Lufthansa and Star Alliance network, the airport of Munich is the second most important airport in Germany and the seventh in Europe.
Despite the international crisis, Munich Airport was one of the few major European hubs to increase its passenger volume in 2008. The Bavarian stopover featured more than 34.5 million passengers, a gain of nearly 2 percent over the previous year. The scheduled flights in 2008 has connected Munich to 244 destinations in 71 countries all over the world.
Michael Kerkloh, CEO of Munich Airport, announced a further expansion of Munich Airport through the third runway that will secure the long-term development of the airport in line with demand.
The airport has numerous areas where passengers in transit can relax and can be entertained plus play areas for children. As well as in the numerous airport bars and restaurants, you can also spend your time by shopping and attending cultural and art events.

Eurotrade manages the shopping spaces in the various parts of the airport. Founded in 1973, Eurotrade is now partially under the direct control of Munich Airport.
As stressed in the name, it is located in one of Europe’s most important hubs and it offers a vast range of products that meet the highest standards in the sector.
In order to satisfy the needs of an international clientele, Eurotrade focuses special attention on the choice of products and the ongoing training of highly qualified, motivated and multilingual staff.
